Grade 10 SPJians participate in Career Orientation Program Aiming to associate their academic pursuits with their ambitions, Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) students attended the Career Day in Tarlac National High School (TNHS) held on November 16.
"Gusto ko maging showbiz reporter in the future. Since SPJ ako at nasa Broadcasting team ako, balak ko na ituloy na lang. Dahil nasa field siya ng Journalism, parang hinahasa na ko sa gusto ko na career kahit junior high school pa lang ako," Dynah Giene Sabong (Grade 10-Olivine) stated.
Aside from those who wanted to continue pursuing journalism or media in the future and chose Humanities and Social Sciences as their preferred strand, a lot of SPJ students also wanted to study in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics strand.
The said event revealed that most of them prefer academic tracks over Arts and Design, Technical-Vocational Livelihood and Sports.
After the introduction of different Senior High School (SHS) strands for students' preparation, Grade 10 students were provided with options, different schools around Tarlac City were offered and promoted for Senior High School choices.
