"Write to express not to impress" a cliche quote that everyone knows about, yet, it didn't really matter to them.
In the Philippines, impressing people is one of the goals, but expressing your true self is not really that good, same with the media today, there are several fake articles, that are made by people, just so citizens get hooked up to it.
But, the DepEd made a program for the aspiring journalists in the Philippines, who are willing to deliver the truth and nothing but the truth.
Special Program in Journalism or commonly known as SPJ is the program where journalists unite, it is develop to enhance the skills of the students in writing articles and in broadcasting.
The program supports the Republic Act No. 7079 or the Campus Journalism Act that mandates "to conduct and implement programs in various aspects of journalism". This program was already implemented in other schools like the Tarlac National High School (TNHS).
It was implemented in the junior high school level that is a four-year course of journalism, that helps the student to develop their skills in online media, broadcast media, print media and mass communication.
In this way, it helps young people to be ready and be advanced in the journalism subject. And it helps the Philippines to have people who have people that is really reliable to deliver trustworthy articles.
Expressing the truth is the best way for the world to be a better place to live, rather than impressing something that is not really true.
