for advice before competing in press tilts
Thirty-one percent or 31 out of 100 students from the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) chose seeking for a professionals' advice as the best method to become successful in a press conference.
The said survey was conducted by students from Grade 10-Olivine on December 7.
"A professional or an experienced person probably knows something that we don't know about the category we choose, so I would ask for their advice and tips before the contest," Jireh Daquigan (Grade 10-Quartz) explained.
Next in line is having enough knowledge through researching about the category with 25 percent of the votes.
"Having enough knowledge on a certain category we join is enough to win against other competitors
"We can win against our competitors if we find out whatever we can about our category through proper research and listening to our Journalism classes," Kimberly Paula Gomez (Grade 7-Daffodil) said.
Training hard every day and reading books ranked third with 24 votes and fourth with 18 votes, respectively.
The survey shows that majority of SPJians prefer to seek advice than to learn on their own.
"Well, training is to enhance our skills, so i prefer training hard everyday", Rizza Louise Dasalla (Grade 10-Quartz) said.
"Despite the fact that technology made our life easier, it is still proper to read books to conserve energy," Karylle Mae Sevilla (Grade 10-Olivine) said.
